MusicWorks is a registered charity (1100443). Each year we need to raise around £40,000 to keep MusicWorks operating. The fees charged for the courses (currently £895 for 8 days) cover around 50% of the costs of MusicWorks’ operating costs. The high staff to student ratio (approximately 1:4) means that a chamber music course is a much more costly model than for instance an orchestral one. It is also our policy never to turn someone away who we feel would benefit musically from the course because they were unable to afford the fees.
The necessary funds are raised each year in a variety of ways.
Patrons Scheme
A circle of people pledge an annual donation for a period of three years or more. The support of our Patrons is extremely important as it allows us to plan ahead with confidence. For more details of how to become a Patron and the benefits offered, click here.
